HERCULES

I am sorry to disappoint all of you Roman and Greek mythology buffs by leading you on entitling my post “Hercules”.  No, this is not the intriguing story about the son of Jupiter and Alcmene.

Hercules menu

This is about a superb restaurant located in Saugatuck, Michigan which we happened upon this last weekend and were enchanted and delighted about the atmosphere and menu!

Not only did their fenced gardened courtyard hold a superb array of flowers and a canopy of beautiful shade trees (where, of course, we ate, being the day was a gorgeous one),

but their screened porch was airy and elegantly softened by these summery grommet draperies.

Hercules also offers  a more intimate setting indoors surrounding you with rich wall colors, soft lights and a rich flow of fabric draperies.  Oh, did I mention the food was wonderful and the staff very friendly and eager to make sure your dining experience was memorable.  Hats off to Hercules!

Hello:
It is always useful to hear of a good restaurant, but, rather sadly, we are a little too far from Michigan to pop round for lunch.

We agree that the summery voiles almost beckon one to eat outside whilst, indoors, the deeper tones and tints of fabrics and furnishings invite one to spend a cosy evening there.

It all looks delightful and the food sounds delicious. If only we were closer....

Alas, that is all too true...for now :( However, I never say never! Someday, in our mysterious unfolding future, you might find yourself wandering a summery little shoreline village along Lake Michigan called Saugatuck and in the far reaches of deep memory, while hunger grumbles and thirst beckons, you'll exclaim..."Hercules"!

Hi thanks for stopping by! This is so charming, I love places like this, unique, personally run probably by a family or couple and something different, I so favor these special little gems over the big mass marketed "chains" yuck! I hate that our country is moving away from places like this and going to the mega versions of everything, I always say I was born in the wrong decade!! Would love to visit this darling place!
