Who doesn’t love linen???? Sure, it wrinkles…
but it is so durable, looks so great, and is so
product diverse that you just can’t help yourself
from suggestion a few samplings to your client.
This flax plant, from which REAL linen
is manufactured, has been used in textiles by
humans for over 10,000 years, if not more.
After the plant is dried and combed……
and spun into coarse yarn……
It is ready to weave into a multitude of linen
fabric types…
From which we crafty ones can indulge
our imaginations…..
and artistic talents…..
and fashion fancies……
express desires…..
and, of course, enfold our cherished surroundings in
a gift from Mother Nature!

Hello:
Yes, we are very fond of linen for upholstery. Indeed, we are very fortunate to have a wonderful fabric supplier in Brighton from whom we obtain Irish Linen which we love! The colours are always so good and the texture of the fabric makes it both interesting and pretty. We are totally with you here!!
It is one of my favorites also, Jane and Lance, and I was facinated with the manufacturing process as I researched it. Of course, there is so much more that goes into the processs than what briefly mentioned in my post, but I must agree with Raymond Libeert, CEO of Libeco-Lagae, a family of linen producers,"linen has so much character..." Thanks for your comment!!
OH You are speaking my heart here.....there is nothing like an organic fabric or element in the home to just embrace you in LIFE! I MEAN IT!!!! May all your dreams become PLANS that will flower into reality. PEACE!!!! Anita
